Casa 13

This project is a residential extension and renovation designed for a growing family whose existing home no longer had enough space for everyone. The goal was to expand the house while seamlessly integrating the new spaces with the original structure.

The house is over 20 years old, with many small, divided rooms and minimal dimensions. The proposed new bedrooms on the upper floor are larger than the existing ones, taking advantage of the south-facing orientation to bring natural light in through the front façade.

On the ground floor, a small studio space was incorporated into the design. To make better use of the layout, one of the doorways was closed off to create built-in storage.

The project was developed end to end: 2D floor plans and layouts were drafted in AutoCAD, the 3D model was built in SketchUp, photorealistic renderings were produced with V-Ray, and final image editing and retouching were done in Photoshop.
